Senior Account Coordinator - Captive Management

AIG Insurance Management Services is seeking to hire a captive insurance professional to support our US Captive Management operations. This position is expected to focus on financial reporting, customer service, and continuing AIG's strong reputation in the Captive Management marketplace. The ability to report on results in a timely manner with accuracy is a must.
About the role
What you need to know:
As a Senior Account Coordinator this position will manage a small portfolio of captive insurance companies while supporting colleagues that are managing large and complex captive insurance companies. This position will be the primary contact for all captive operations which includes financial statement preparation and regulatory compliance on behalf of captive owners.
This role interacts with and ensures strong relationships with clients, regulators, captive directors, and key service providers. Our team cares about providing good customer service, being responsive, and working in a positive environment.
Performance Objectives include:
  • Client Management: Responsibilities include being the clients' primary contact, preparation of financial statements, and ensuring captives are compliant with all regulatory requirements which includes various filings for each client accurately and with specified deadlines.

  • Non-Routine Client Management: Perform special requests for clients, which may include tasks such as business plan changes, preparing financial proformas, or analysing new agreements. Keep reviewer informed and involved early on with any non-routine changes as well as ask for guidance when needed.

  • Communication/Relationships: Responsible for the day-to-day client and service providers' communications for matters relating to captive business operations and insurance programs. This position must liaison with several professionals, including domicile regulators, auditors, actuaries, tax advisors, bankers, and legal advisors.

What we're looking for:
  • Accounting experience with attention to detail.
  • Either hold or working towards an associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Previous experience working within a team environment to meet filing deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to think through and complete tasks independently.
  • Ability to make contributions on special projects as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A growth mentality with willingness to accept feedback.
  • Japanese language skills would be a major plus

For positions based in San Francisco, California and Concord, California the base salary range is $53,00 - 74,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
