SalarySenior Small Business Specialist - Accountant
Job description:
Full time opportunity for candidates looking to advance their career in public accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility, under supervision, for small accounting engagements involving maintenance of a client’s accounting system.
- Prepare financial statements on various basis of accounting (including income tax basis).
- Prepare payroll checks and necessary payroll tax reports.
- Work with third party vendors to complete work on a timely basis and review for obvious errors.
- Understanding of the Firm’s practices, policies, procedures, and culture.
- Have a working knowledge of local tax laws, payroll laws, and state sales tax laws.
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Preferred)
- 2+ years (Preferred) experience at a public accounting firm performing preparation of financial statements on various basis of accounting.
- Ability to maintain a manual and computerized bookkeeping system.
- Ability to maintain an accounts receivable and accounts payable subsidiary ledger system.
- General computer operations - QuickBooks, data input, and processing.
- Must maintain strict client confidentiality.
- High level of intelligence, integrity, honesty, motivation, and aptitude for the profession.
Job Type: Full-time.
Salary: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year.*
