Senior Staff Accountant - Hilton Hawaiian Village

What will I be doing?
As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will perform General Books (General Ledger) functions and provide direct supervision of various sections of the Finance Office. Specifically, you will perform the duties below to the highest of standards.

• Prepare and post daily and monthly journal entries and assist in month-end closing, including the review of the GLs with Department Heads and research variances.
• Assist with auditing of Tenant Revenues, updating tenant contract changes and Tenant inquiries.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts in Blackline.
• Process credit card refunds and advance deposits; Handling of daily chargeback inquiries and credit card audits.
• Supervise union team members in various sections of the Finance office; to include review and approval of weekly scheduling, vacation bids and work assignments. Also includes assisting the Assistant Director of Finance in the hiring, termination and issuing of disciplinary action.
• Audit F&B promo and Void Check packs daily and follow up with F&B Managers as needed.
• Responsible for handling all A/P receiving in BirchStreet that is not processed through the Purchasing Department.
• Assist with monthly house bank audits, weekly parking audits and internal/external audits and peer reviews. Handle Cash Machine user set ups and troubleshooting cash machine jams.
• Handling the monthly and quarterly inventories for Anuenue retail shop and Food & Beverage
• Assist with inputting budget and forecasts into PropPlan and provide ad hoc reports to support all departments.
• Audit of various monthly incentive payouts (i.e. Front Office, Reservations, Housekeeping) and semi-monthly payroll ID audits.

What are we looking for?
EDUCATION
Four-year college degree in Accounting with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting or Business Management required. CPA/CMA/MBA desirable.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum two years of Accounting experience required. Hotel accounting/finance experience highly preferred; preferably in a unionized hotel.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred.
GROOMING
All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
OTHER
Ability to speak another language in addition to English is preferred, with Japanese being the most desirable.
