The Selling Event/Merchandiser is responsible for presenting/sampling Boar’s Head products to consumers in various grocery stores in the surrounding Reno area, proactively engaging customers. The ultimate objective is to promote and educate the consumer on various Boar’s Head products.
Essential Functions
- Knowledge of Boar’s Head products, inclusive of flavor, nutritional information, and complimentary products (training provided).
- Willingness to engage customers and actively promote the Boar’s Head Brand.
- Must have own transportation and be willing to travel to different retail locations.
- Some light merchandising is required.
- Ability to transport and set up a folding table, utensils, platters, etc.
- Willingness to operate a slicer (training provided)
- Must exhibit good food safety and sanitation practices at all times.
- Be energetic and possess a serving attitude.
Minimum Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 months of experience in a customer service or similar role
- Basic computer skills
- Experience with food preparation is helpful but not required
- Keep work area neat and clean; exhibit good food safety and sanitation practices at all times
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Ability to stand for a minimum of 4 hours
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Ability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 40 lbs.; push or pull objects up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated/freezer environment
- Must have an internet-enabled cell phone
