ResponsibilitiesSupervise the daily activities of the assigned area(s).
- Identify observation or trends having a negative impact on the campus and assist with the development of action plan.
- Conduct follow-up investigations on incident reports and analyzes
incidents and conditions. - Monitor associate adherence to policies and procedures.
- Oversee the training and development of staff.
- Develop, coordinate and implement shift schedules to ensure proper security coverage and protection of the Hospital.
- Assist with preparing security budgets.
- Maintain expenses within budget guidelines.
- Assist manager with daily operation of the department including, interviewing, disciplinary actions, staff management and contract management.
- Coordinate emergency drills.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
- Drivers License credentialed from the Maryland Department of Motor Vehicles preferred.
- Law Enforcement preferred.
- Management of Aggressive Behavior credentialed from the Management of Aggressive Behavior Training International, Inc preferred.
- Security Professional credentialed from the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) preferred.
- Security Guard preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency and 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree and 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
3 years of healthcare security experience
