Security Supervisor

• Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

This individual is responsible for supervising all Security Department employees, various administrative duties, as well as observing and reporting all incidents and safety hazards, maintaining the front guard house post, answering and directing calls in a professional manner using company phones and company issued radios. The individual is also responsible for diligent patrol of the facility as well as monitoring Security gates using automated controls and multi-camera surveillance post. The individual will also be responsible for conducting surveys and investigations for employee incidents, theft, and vandalism.

JOB DUTIES

• Supervising a staff of 20+ Security officers, Creating weekly work schedules.
• Maintain accurate employee records for attendance, disciplinary actions, policy violations, and employee evaluations. Counsel employees on any disciplinary problems and institute correction procedures.
• Responsible for training of new hires in company policies and department procedures.
• Create monthly reports on security incidents and various activities within the facility as well as performing monthly OSHA safety inspections for assigned areas.
• Maintain accurate records, perform monthly audits, and keep physical inventory for all company keys, electronic entry remotes, and internal parking passes of all employees and departments.
• Coordinate requested maintenance and complete work orders/requisitions on all door / key access hardware, all multi-camera surveillance posts and Access Control Stations within the facility.
• Perform audits/ maintenances on all burglar alarm system keypads.
• Participate in all Food Safety/Safe Quality programs and provide information on all aspects of Security for 3rd party audits when requested.

• Maintain open communication with Human Resources in all aspects of security concerning the facility and provide assistance with employee issues, and investigations upon request.
• Perform foot patrols of company property and surrounding areas to deter any illegal or dangerous activity.
• Perform vehicle patrols of company property and surrounding areas to deter any illegal or dangerous activity.
• Assist with and alleviate employee problems with badge access to company turnstiles and doors.
• Order and provide supplies/uniforms to department employees.
• Assist department heads with employee investigations and provide any necessary information required.

• Assist with coordinating internal parking structure for employees with parking privileges inside the facility.
• Attend meetings with department heads and other company employees and provide information as needed.
• Assist Law Enforcement and other government agencies when necessary.
• Other duties as required.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Minimum Qualifications:

• Willingness and ability to follow company and department policies and rules.
• Exercise good judgment by performing work safely and in conformance with regulatory agencies as well as company standards.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, Bilingual is preferred.
• Must have a valid California Drivers License
• Must have a current valid Security Guard registration or P.C 832 (Arrest & Control) Certificate.
• Must have at least 1-2 years experience in Law Enforcement, Private Security, or Military Service environments.
• Must have basic computer systems literacy.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

Hours & Workdays:

1st Shift (7:00AM - 3:30PM); when business requires, overtime and weekends may be mandatory.
