Staff will be responsible for conducting administrative duties.
Shall protect clients, staff, and visitors as well as HOPICS property.
Shall respond to disciplinary problems, emergencies and calls for assistance involving residents and fellow staff members calmly and reasonably while maintaining an accurate record of the problems.
Must clearly demonstrate a complete and strong working knowledge of all assigned security positions and relations to the needs of the program and organizational goals.
They shall have knowledge of all emergency policies and procedures so that they may appropriately respond should any of these emergencies occur.
Must seek to establish good communication and proper working relationships with all Security staff members, housing staff members, HOPICS/SSG staff and all community partners.
Maintain incident reports and assisted in the preparation of security surveys and post orders.

Provide adequate security coverage for each site and all safety equipment, such as badge readers, is functional.
Ensure to provide meal relief for Security Officers assigned to fixed posts.
Assist in establishing training programs for Security Officers and Lot Monitors and to submit them to management for approval.
Ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures while implementing security measures.
Shall document all disciplinary problems and attendance issues involving Security Officers and initiate disciplinary measures whenever necessary.
Maintain up to date and accurate timekeeping systems and records.
Ensure Security Officers are provided with necessary equipment and equipment is accounted for and maintained.
Support staffing requirements at sites during shortages due to vacations, call-offs, no-shows, suspensions, holidays, etc.
Distribute uniforms and equipment to personnel as necessary and maintain diligent records of uniform and equipment inventory.
Provide leadership and guidance to staff. Serve as mentor/coach to security employees.
Train staff on site-specific security requirements and HOPICS/SSG protocol.
Assist in start-ups at new sites to include: working the site, writing post orders and training checklists, and training newly assigned permanent Security Officers.
Shall act as a troubleshooter for any problems that may arise doing his/her shift.
Review and sign off on all Security Officers Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports before they are turned in to Central.
Assist in developing and implementing preventative measures against accidents, thefts, and other potential risks.
Conduct routine and random site checks and do patrols with security staff during their assigned shift.
Shall assist in ensuring that Security Officers, staff, and clients are in compliance with COVID-19 safety measures at all times.
Shall lead periodic safety drills and provide training to Security Officers and staff.
Evaluate, assess, and analyze performance of security personnel.
Ensure that security staff receive training on security systems, such as burglar alarms and CCTV at designated site how to respond to a burglar alarm and the proper use of CCTV.
Retrieve surveillance video when requested by Division Director and/or Associate Director of Operations when requested and in the absence of IT professional.
Prepare weekly reports regarding observations, suggestions, concerns, training ideas, and/or projects and submit to supervisor for review.
Maintain accurate records of all security and organizational required documentation: Incident Reports, Client sign in sheets, Daily Activity Reports, Attendance Logs, Verbal Coaching, and Relias Training.
Ensure contact information (personal cell phone numbers) for all staff is accurate for emergency purposes only.
Provide security at agency events onsite and offsite.
Shall ensure not to engage in fraternization with subordinates and any of the people served in our programs.
Overtime, holiday, days, or weekend work may be required.
Perform other tasks as assigned by Management or the Divisional Director.
Ensure that assigned security staff make a monthly appointment for COVID-19 testing and that testing results are uploaded into their Paycom.
Shall provide adequate and informative pass downs to Management Team and other relevant staff.
