- High school diploma
- 3+ years of related experience
- Prior Law Enforcement or Military Experience preferred
- Active CPR/AED/First Aid certification
- Heart for service to the Lord
- Have and maintain a Florida Class D and G security license or current completion certificate of training in the Florida School Guardian program.
- Provide appropriate firearm and holster which you have qualified with
- Self-motivated, self-directed requiring minimal supervision
- Embrace change and can adapt quickly with a “whatever it takes” attitude
- Able to figure it out, follow through, and get it done
- Strong ability to relate to all staff, visitors, and students with compassion, humility, and confidence
- Requires technical skills, flexibility, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify and meet strict time constraints for specific tasks
- Must be a born-again Christian whose lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Hold Scriptures, and express agreement with the Statement of Faith, doctrinal positions, and Christian lifestyle requirement of the school
- Must be able to serve as a positive Christian role model to others in the CFCA school context.
- Must understand and commit to CFCA’s education objectives and philosophy of education.
- Must faithfully attend a local church whose fundamental beliefs agree with the Statement of Faith of CFCA.
- Provide campus and school security during scheduled hours
- Lock and unlock gates, buildings, and rooms as needed to access facilities for all events shown on the weekly calendar of events. Ensure students are properly supervised before and after school.
- Provide routine patrol of the campus and maintain a visible presence during assigned work shift to observe and address and security related concerns and provide needed assistance to staff, students, volunteers, and visitors.
- Use appropriate level of force to stop, disrupt, or eliminate physical threats to students, staff, and visitors on school property.
- First responder to security and medical incidents and emergencies
- Setup, tear down, and assist in the needs of carline, to provide presence, and direct traffic as needed
- Direct traffic on campus as needed
- Document unusual activities, incidents, and injuries and refer to supervisor. When appropriate, communicate these to other Security, Facilities, School, or Church personnel.
- Summon the assistance of other staff, law enforcement, fire rescue, or other services as required
- Build relationships with students and staff and provide a school-oriented model
- Remain alert to potential disturbances, implement preventative measures, gain intelligence, and prevent/mitigate threats to our campus.
- Advise Principals, Deans, and other appropriate staff members of campus security practices and procedures to maintain a secure/safe campus.
- Investigate and document illegal/unpermitted activity that occurs on our campus, gather evidence, and work with appropriate parties accordingly.
- Perform inspections of our campus to ensure all safety equipment and technology is functional and ready for use.
- Monitor and review camera footage

- Present yourself professionally, meeting department’s uniform policy
- Adhere to the policies and practices of CATC/CFCA and the laws of the State of Florida
- Carry a firearm while on-campus.
- Carry and operate a two-way radio while on-campus.
- Provide appropriate use and care for firearms, communications equipment, and other issued/necessary equipment.
- Develop detailed knowledge of operation and integration of all equipment.
- Put measures in place to ensure that equipment and supplies are secured against damage, loss, or theft.
- Begin and end projects within reasonable timeframes and communicates needs.
- Proficient with current technology and communication tools.
- Aligned with organizational vision, goals, values, and policies.
- Works well with others and within a team environment.
