Valid Florida D & G Security Officer License
As a Security Officer for public events, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and security of all attendees, staff, and property during the specified event. You will be part of a team dedicated to maintaining a secure and enjoyable environment for everyone involved. The role requires a high level of vigilance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various security-related tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Crowd Control: Monitor and control crowd movements to prevent overcrowding and ensure a safe environment
- Manage queues and direct attendees to designated areas.
- Access Control: Verify credentials and tickets to control access to the event venue.
- Conduct thorough bag checks and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Patrol and Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of the event premises to identify and address any security concerns.
- Use surveillance equipment to monitor activities and promptly respond to any suspicious behavior.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, including medical incidents, disturbances, or other crises.
- Coordinate with emergency services and event organizers to implement appropriate responses.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with other security personnel and event staff.
- Report incidents promptly and accurately through the established communication channels.
- Customer Service: Provide assistance and guidance to event attendees in a professional and courteous manner.
- Address concerns and inquiries with a customer-focused approach.
- Conflict Resolution: Intervene and de-escalate conflicts or disturbances, utilizing conflict resolution skills.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement if necessary.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and event policies.
- Enforce event rules and policies consistently.
- First Aid: Administer basic first aid when needed or coordinate with medical personnel for more advanced assistance.
- Post-Event Duties: Conduct post-event security assessments and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Complete and submit incident reports as required.
