Special Security Office Support
\*\*\*This position requires an active Secret clearance and US Citizenship per our government client\*\*\*

The Unit Security Support person will support the US Government in the day-to-day implementation of security policy and procedures for US Space Force units in the Colorado Springs area.

Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Special Security Office Support: $100,000 to $110,000 annual salary
Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Special Security Office Support Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting the supervision of daily security activities and enforcing company and Government security policies for 6 units
• Performing access control responsibilities including managing badges, and access cards at Space Base Delta 1
• Supporting the Government in certifying and receiving SCI visitor clearances/accesses
• Helping the Government manage Delta 6’s National Industrial Security Program (NISP) in accordance DoD Manual 5220.32 National Industrial Security Program: Industrial Security Procedures for Government Activities Volume 1
• Supporting the Government in managing the Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO) including tracking the training status of all Delta 6 personnel, by Air Force Policy Directive 16-14
• Creating and distributing security-related materials, posters, and documents as needed
• Helping the Government maintain the facility clearance in accordance with Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency requirements
• Helping the Government implement procedures for handling proprietary, business confidential, and government classified information
• Assisting the Government in processing requests for granted personnel security clearances; Review and submitting documents as required
• Assisting the Government in performing periodic security inspections and annual self-assessments; preparing vulnerability reports; briefing senior management on deficiencies and corrective action plan
• Maintaining continuing liaison, with collateral security officials to ensure both security levels are mission accomplished
• Assisting the Government in maintaining the Defense Information System for Security system to accurately reflect all personnel under their organization
• Providing all security awareness training as required by regulations in accordance with Commanders’ Support Staff Execution, Organization, and Responsibilities
• Provide training up to 25 times annually
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Special Security Office Support Experience, Education, Skills, and Abilities requested:

• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• 5-7 Years Experience in a Security Support Officer role required
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and judgment skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
• Candidates must be US Citizens
• Candidates must hold an active SECRET clearance
• Candidates will be subject to a US Federal Government background investigation and must favorably pass a drug screen
