A Signal 88 Security Lead Community-Based Vehicle Patrol Officer provides functional leadership to Signal 88 Security’s Community Base Officers through the development and implementation of policies and practices essential to the effective management of day-to-day operations. Basic duties include protecting all sites and managing all reporting officers. All duties listed below are minimum requirements – additional duties listed in the site’s Post Orders are requirements as well.

Responsibilities:

• The primary responsibility of the Lead Officer is twofold: to act and behave as a role model for all security personnel and to ensure schedules/routes are filled all the time.
• The Lead Officer will immediately report to his/her direct supervisor, the General Manager, any pertinent information involving personnel or client site issues.
• Since S88 is a 24/7 organization with security personnel in the field 24/7, it may be necessary for the Supervisor to be an available resource 24/7.
• In the event of unexpected absences, the Lead Officer is responsible for filling the required post, either by serving on the post directly, or scheduling another party.
• Conducts random inspections of various posts and officers to make sure officers are properly performing duties and assigned tasks and complying with dress and appearance policies.
• Reviews the activity and incident reports daily. Any pertinent information from these reports that needs to be reported to the customer, up the chain of command or to subsequent shifts is documented and communicated accordingly, so post orders may be modified, or additional services rendered.
• Responsible for the maintenance and tidiness of all S88 equipment, including the vehicles, the laptops and any other equipment used in the field by the officers.
• Establishes direct contact with customers but more so, with the customers’ customers, by answering resident calls and dispatching appropriately.
• Notifying Signal 88 Security’s chain of command and if necessary, senior executives aware of any issues in the field, so that they can be addressed in a timely fashion.
• Notifying account management personnel of any issues that arise with specific accounts as it relates to service issues, overtime, crime activity or any other information.
• Offering suggestions to the chain of command for quality of service improvements, efficiencies, and any other operations improvements under their management.
• The Lead Officer makes sure the activities of the patrol officers are conducted according to the S88 SOP, as well as applicable state and federal laws.
• Responsible for issuing disciplinary action against personnel in violation of S88 SOP, to include the fining system. Furthermore, the Lead Officer is also responsible for issuing positive actions towards personnel going above and beyond the S88 expectations.
• Monitors the present policies, procedures and practices of S88 and makes recommendations for processes modifications to the General Manager.
• Shifts are generally 7pm-5am

******If hired andworking a minimum of 30 hours per week - there will be a $500 BONUS (Bonus will be issued after working the minimum hour requirement with no call offs and/or write ups for 6 months - weekends required)******

Requirements:

• 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma
• Minimum 2 years of security experience preferably in a supervisory role
• Pass background investigation
• Pass drug test
• Good driving record
• Valid driver's license
• Complete training modules within first month
• Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills
• Works collaboratively and supports efforts of team members
• Ability to conform to established procedures and to help identify and solve problems
• Ability to get along with other employees, follow directions, work under stress, add value and continuously improve
• Demonstrates a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times
• Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds
