Security Manager
Job Description:
Liaison between the Security Department and school administration pertaining to campus security; provides training for Campus Security Specialists; coordinates with schools on the hiring of school security staff. Key advisor on matters related to the protection of lives and property, preservation of peace, and enforcement of laws and regulations in the District. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.
Position Specific Information (if Applicable):
Responsibilities:
--- Coordinate District-wide security activities with school administration, including issues related to sex offenders, traffic control, parent issues, at-risk students and coordinates with Human Resources and Risk Management to conduct internal investigations related to violations of District policies or criminal law.
--- Coordinate drug searches of school campuses with local law enforcement agencies and school administration.
--- Ensure the enforcement of local, state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to K-12school security processes.
--- Develop, deliver, and manage training programs on security issues to Campus Security Specialists, facility security personnel, students, staff, and community.
--- Coordinate with schools on initial employee screening and interviews for open Campus Security Specialist positions. Participate in interviews and selection process for candidates.
--- Coordinate with district administration on various issues related to maintaining order on campuses and other district property.
--- Represent the Security Department to local, state, and federal law enforcement and public safety agencies in matters of mutual interest.
--- Serve as emergency responder in the event of critical incidents involving District property.
--- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Certifications:
Firearms Certification - Colorado, First Aid/CPR Certification - American Heart Association, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Instructor's Certificate - Crisis Prevention Institute, Peace Officers Standard Training (POST) - Colorado

$62,289.17 USD - $92,073.06 USD Annual
- All salary amounts listed above are based on a full-time (1.0) FTE. If applicable, part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE.
