Job Title: Security Management Officer
Location: Djibouti, Africa
Clearance: TS/SCI
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages the Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Security, NATO Control Point Monitor, and Industrial Security programs to include the creation and maintenance of required inspections.
- Work entails knowledge in the application of security policies, procedures, and guidelines involving the loyalty, suitability, and trustworthiness of individuals being considered for access to classified information.
- Processes requests for classified access for positions within subordinate activities.
- Composes special request correspondence, and requests for exception to policy and coordinates the same with Central Clearance Facility (CCF), National Security Agency (NSA), Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), United States Air Force (USAF), United States Navy (USN), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), and a variety of other national agencies.
- Serve as the alternate contact and recipient for Defense Courier System (DEFCOS) shipments containing classified material. Prepares requests to courier classified or sensitive information or materials.
Requirements:
- Knowledge in the application of DoD security policies, procedures, and guidelines involving the loyalty, suitability, and trustworthiness of individuals being considered for access to classified information.
- Must have a current TS-SCI clearance.
- 5 to 8 years’ experience in similar roles as determined by type of work and level of responsibility described in duties and responsibilities.
- Similar roles may be in industry or working for the U.S. Government but must include managing access policies and security standards regarding classified information.
- The requirement of 5 to 8 years of experience can be substituted by 3 to 5 years of former military intelligence duties directly related to Security Management and a bachelor’s degree.
