Security Attendant - Part Time

Job Title: SECURITY CUSTOMER SERVICE ATTENDANT

Reports To: OPERATIONS MANAGER ON DUTY

Type: PART TIME

Pay: $13.82 per hour to start; $14.03 as of 12/1/23

Shifts Available: currently 7a-3p, 3p-11p, and other shifts

Days Available: Any, but specifically Tues, Thurs and weekends

SUMMARY

Part-Time Unarmed Security Attendant who will provide excellent customer and security services while maintaining a professional presence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· This position will provide superior customer service

· Maintain a constant professional presence

· Patrols all buildings and grounds and regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic

· Maintain highly visible patrols to ensure a safe customer experience

· Maintain public order and enforce safety rules

· Assure quality support to other departments, including assisting customers with wagering machines

· Responsible for protecting property and assets

· Prepares a check list of all routine patrols by recording any property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment.

· Prepares Incident reports when necessary

· Maintain public order and enforcing safety rules

· Promote the property promotions and events

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NONE

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to multitask – working a wide variety of posts with multiple departments

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous security experience a must
• Previous customer service experience (preferred)

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Effective communication (written and verbal)

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: NONE

REASONING ABILITY

• Ability to identify and quickly respond to potential problems or conflicts

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Must have valid driver’s license
• Must qualify annually for the Maryland State Racing Commission License.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations, including; ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., walk and stand for long periods of time, and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to work in multiple environments: noisy, crowded and Horse Stable Areas
• Able to handle stressful situations when dealing with the general public

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
