Security Attendant I

This full time contractual position is the full performance level of work responsible for protecting the safety and security of Spring Grove Hospital Center (SGHC) employees, patients, visitors, equipment, and facilities on State grounds. This position does not supervise other positions. This position may be required to rotate shifts and is subject to call in duty. This position will receive general supervision from a Security Attendant Supervisor, the Assistance Director of Security and Communications and the Director of Security and Communications.

Responsibilities:

- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises
- Utilize CCTV systems to monitor and identify any suspicious activities
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security risks and take appropriate action
- Respond to alarms and emergency situations in a timely manner
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries or concerns
- Enforce access control procedures to ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques
- Experience in loss prevention and conflict management
- First aid/CPR certification preferred
- Familiarity with law enforcement procedures and regulations
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and strong observation skills

Note: Prior military or law enforcement experience is highly desirable.
