The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking a School Secretary at Warder Park Wayne Elementary School for the 2023-2024 school year. We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state of the art buildings in west-central Ohio. As a Secretary you are required to:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Training and /or experience in office practices procedures and with computers
- Assisting with preparation, recording and filing of building and student records and communications
- Assisting staff members with operation of office equipment and ordering of supplies
- Receiving and processing all phone and e-mail communications
- Recording and updating student attendance records
- Dispensing medication and administering minor first aid when a nurse is not present
- Assisting Principal with correspondence, meeting minutes, calendars, handbooks, lists, memos, reports, etc., as directed by Principal
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We Offer:
As a contracted employee, this position works 8 hours per day, 217 days per year.
Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00pm
Starting salary is $18.59 per hour
