Position Summary
Performs a wide variety of clerical support services to assist the efficient operation of the Transportation Department while maintaining confidentiality.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Answer phones & radio, receive visitors
- Prepares and process invoices for field trips, athletic trips, and other special bus routes.
- Monitor budget and generate reports for Director’s review including P-card & mileage reports.
- Process drivers’ payroll.
- Monitor drivers’ attendance.
- Monitors drivers’ annual physical, MDOS and continuing education courses.
- Monitors driver information, equipment, insurance/registration information, etc.
- Schedule appointments and interviews, follow up new employee recommendations and processing.
- Monitor Fueling and Tank Leak systems.
- Update Pupil Transportation Website via Foxbright.
- Schedule maintenance for transportation equipment and systems.
- Process purchase orders, accounts payables and order & maintain supplies.
- Process accident & incident reports.
- Edits & assists with student data in powerschool and Versa Trans.
- Edits and assists with bus routes, driver directions and bid sheets.
- Operate office machines, such as photocopiers, scanners, computers, printers, calculators, facsimile machines, voicemail systems, two-way radio and telephones.
- Communicate with customers, employees, students, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information and address complaints.

Education:
This position requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- One year of related experience providing clerical support in an office setting required, two years preferred.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of basic math, required.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services, required.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, database, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures, required.
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar, required.
Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret district policies, guidelines, and government regulations, required.
- Ability and willingness to participate in training classes, required.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, required.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form, required.
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, be organized and work in a fast paced work environment, required.
- Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with teachers, community, students and staff, required.
