GeneralSummary:

EssentialDutiesandResponsibilities:
- Performs any combination of following and similar clerical duties requiring limited knowledge of systems or procedures.
- Writes, types, or enters information into computer, using keyboard, to input work requests, correspondence, or other documents.
- Knowledge of English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rule of composition, and grammar.
- Compose correspondence, create spreadsheets, and manage databases as needed.
- Sorts and files records.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional customer service and team orientation.
- Answers telephone and conveys messages
- Photocopies and scans documents, using photocopier and scanner.
- Initiates service by recording requests; forwarding to dispatching.
- Accomplishes customer service and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Able to work independently, perform as a self-starter and meet critical deadlines.
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks and work well with others.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Security Clearance Requirement:
- Ability to obtain a DoD Clearance is required.
- Candidate selected will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive material and information.
Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:
- Proficient and experienced in the use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
- Experience using Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) preferred.
- Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including computers, printers, scanners, telephones and fax machines.
- Familiar with office procedures and filing.
- Strong organizational and general office skills.
- Competent in spelling, punctuation, grammar, arithmetic and preparing spreadsheets.
Working conditions:
- Sit for extended periods of time.
- Ascend and descend steps.
- Push/pull, squat, turn, twist, bend and stoop.
- Office working environment subject to sitting at desk for long periods of time, bending, crouching and or kneeling at files, pushing/pulling of file drawers, reaching in all directions, and prolonged periods of time working at a computer terminal.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or GED;
- Proficient in relevant Computer applications such as MS Office & Excel; Accurate keyboarding skills (25+ WPM).
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Some Administrative Experience Preferred.
