Location: Park Elementary - 3000 7th Ave
40 hours per week 1,640 hours per year
205 days per year
FTE = .7885
Benefits: BCBS (KPS will pay a pro-rated amount for single employee health and dental benefits)
Holidays - 7 per year

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Possesses strong secretarial, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Works well with children and adults.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Include, but are not limited to)
  • Office Responsibilities
  • Serves as receptionist to everyone entering building.
  • Answers phones and takes messages.
  • Types and duplicates materials as directed by the Principal.
  • Assists Principal in recording, sorting and distributing all general supplies, textbooks, paper, etc.
  • Assists in preparation of the school budget.
  • Counts and deposits all money received by the school.
  • Assists in preparation of local, state and federal reports.
  • Attends appropriate staff development programs and continues training in technology.
  • Sorts and distributes the mail.
  • Maintains files for memos, communications, updates cum files, etc; monitors privacy act records.
  • Contacts parents of absent students after 9:00 a.m.
  • Prepares supply/teacher purchase orders, obtaining Principal’s signature.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the building Principal.
  • Teacher Assistance Duties
  • Places, records and distributes orders for materials from ESU 10.
  • Maintains all attendance records for students.
  • Assists teachers in the preparation of educational materials as time permits.
  • Assists in maintaining teachers lounge, possibly including making coffee, filling pop machine, ordering pop, and processing pop bills.
  • Healthcare Responsibilities
  • Stores, dispenses and records all medications.
  • Administers basic first aid to ill or injured students according to training and school policy.
  • Cares for students and contacts parents in case of accident or illness.
  • Keeps records of medicine dispensed to students.
