The Teacher Assistant shall prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter
that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the
praise and glory of God.
1. Reflect on the purpose of the school, which is to honor Christ in every class and in every activity.
2. Motivate students to accept God's gift of salvation and help them grow in their faith.
3. Lead students to a realization of their self-worth in Christ.
4. Cooperate with the Board and administration in implementing all policies, procedures and directives governing the operation of the school.
5. Teach classes as assigned following the prescribed scope and sequence as scheduled by the Head of School.
6. Integrate Biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum and activities.
7. Assist in implementing the daily program under the direction of the teacher.
8. Assist and planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies.
9. Escort students to different areas within the facility throughout the day.
10. Supervise the classroom when the teacher is out of the room.
11. Supervise students during lunch and recess.
12. Clean the cafeteria tables and recess equipment.
13. Help with general housekeeping tasks.
14. Assist the teacher in any other appropriate ways.
15. Maintain professional attitudes and loyalty to the school at all times.
16. Treat all children with dignity and respect.
17. Attend staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferences.
Requirements:- Active Christian who feels called by God to teach students.
- Able to be taught and use different systems.
- Able to physically move about for some period.
- A strong background in instruction.
