POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Secondary Teacher, focusing on Health, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality health education to secondary-level students in a virtual learning environment. You will inspire students to make informed decisions about their health and well-being, covering essential topics such as nutrition, physical fitness, mental health, substance abuse prevention, and sexual health. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
- Previous experience teaching health education at the secondary level, preferably in a virtual or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of health education principles, curriculum development, and best practices.
- Proficiency in virtual learning platforms and educational technology.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for virtual instruction.
- Passion for promoting health and wellness education.
- Ability to adapt health lessons to a virtual learning environment.
- Dedication to empowering students to make healthy choices.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education with a specialization in Health Education is required.
- Valid Texas Educator Certificate in Secondary Grades, Health/Wellness Education is required.
