Simplot Turf and Horticulture is looking to fill a seasonal Laborer position. Full-time, temporary, position with full benefits and the opportunity for substantial over-time hours. The primary responsibility is to assist with daily plant operations.
Unload chemicals, seed, and fertilizer products from commercial delivery trucks by use of forklift and properly store throughout the warehouse.
Load company delivery vehicles with same product by use of forklift (or by hand) and deliver to customers in a timely and courteous manner.
Monitoring and maintenance (by outside parties) of both company vehicles and material handling equipment as well as adherence to all safety protocols while operating either.
Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of facility inside and out daily.
May assist with recordkeeping related to warehouse/inventory responsibilities.
Additional Key Activities: Seasonally, long hours may be required.
Miscellaneous duties such as assisting with special projects, attending training sessions, providing back-up when needed, etc.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Forklift experience is preferred.
Knowledge of the local geography is preferred to assist in locating golf courses.
Ability to maintain maintenance records for equipment and vehicles.
Ability to take on dispatching and administrative duties when necessary.
Ability to lift 50lbs multiple times throughout the day.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
