Job Title: Operations Suport Manager
Location:St. Charles, IL
JOB OVERVIEW: Under the general supervision of the Site Manager, the Office Operations/Manufacturing Manager is responsible for the management of the facilities admin functions, warehouse operations, inventory control and production scheduling for the St. Charles Facility. This individual supports the sites operations by monitoring and directing the programs and policies used to guide the staff in those related functions. Ensuring responsible functional areas are performing adequately to meet corporate and site objectives. Supports company operations by supervising staff in the use and understanding of SAP, Jsox Compliance, Safety Training Requirements and Operational Improvements. Works closely with Product Management, Sales and NACS to align Customers expectations and site capabilities, improving the overall customer experience.
JOB DUTIES:
- Using leadership abilities, performance accountability and situational appraisal methodologies - the manager ensures functional areas supports the sites Goals and Objectives.
- Will manage and support the day-to-day implementation of policies, procedures, programs, and workplace facility admin needs.
- The Warehouse Supervisor and Inventory manager report into this role.
- Understand and manage Sun Chemical’s master data and Customer processes, policies, procedures related to the site.
- Maintain SAP Cost Element correctly for sites BOM’s and Recipes
- Plans and organizes MRP and Warehouse activities to meet or exceed OTIF goals. Analysis sales trends and demand maintain inventory accordingly.
- Is accountable for the safety performance for areas of responsibility, maintaining training goals and objectives for site.
- Manages all aspects of safety within the functional area of responsibility to assure conformance to SunCare policy and procedures for the office.
- Delivers upon strict adherence to Quality Management System (ISO) by maintaining and improving upon all facets of the QMS. Uses trailing indicators to identify areas of improvement.
- Manages the site owned raw material inventories and Vendor Owned Inventory program.
Analysis demands and adjust accordingly to support site objectives. - Interacts interact with Product Management and Sales to accurately maintain SAP elements impacting OTIF and customers delivery expectations. Develop a resolution to discrepancies through generally accepted inventory practices and SAP guidelines.
- Monitors and maintains operational raw material and work-in-process inventory levels.
- Possesses full authority to make any and all decisions within the scope of
authority (MRPs, Warehouse, Shipping/Receiving). Works collaboratively with the appropriate managers to resolve issues. Strong interaction with Supply Chain and Quality Manager is a necessity.
- Maintains high level integrity and validity of all transactions within ERP system.
- Communicates effectively throughout all levels of the organization.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5–7 years of experience in a production environment with specific attention to production planning, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and people development skill sets.
- 5 – 7 years of supervisory experience, preferably in manufacturing environment.
- Background should include SAP, ISO 9001 and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Demonstrate the ability to influence by example.
- Excellent communication skill at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel) and organizational skills
- Demonstrate strong sense of accountability and urgency.
