Seasonal Box Office Associate

STAGES St. Louis, a professional musical theater company, is seeking several Box Office Associates for the upcoming 2024 season. This is a part-time, seasonal position.

During show weeks, our Box Office is open 7 days a week, both daytime and evening hours. During non-show weeks, our Box Office is open 6 days a week, daytime hours only. Candidates should have the ability to work both days and evenings at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center (Downtown Kirkwood) and days at the Kent Center (Chesterfield).

Non-Show Week Shift Times are as follows:

• Mon-Fri: 9:30am to 5:00pm
• Saturday: 9:30am to 2:00pm (Kirkwood Box Office Only)

Show Week Shift Times are as follows:

• Monday: 9:30 am to 5:00 pm
• Tues-Sat: 9:30 am-2:30 pm, 2:30 pm – 7:30 pm
• Sunday: 11:30 am – 3:00 pm, 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Skills and Requirements:

• Work Authorization: United States (required)
• Previous Customer Service experience is REQUIRED
• Basic computer skills – While we provide one on one ticketing software training with a manual designed by our staff to address the specific needs of this position, familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of products is a must.
• Must be a quick thinker/problem solver who works well in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.
• Must be able to multi-task (i.e. answering the phone and navigating a ticket sale at the same time)
• Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
• Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.
• Meets attendance commitments and requirements.
• Be knowledgeable of all events, venues, websites, and software used in day-to-day tasks.
• A passion for musical theatre arts and theatre administration.
• Pre-employment background check required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
