Join our team! The Young Adult Program is currently seeking an individual who can help support 18-21 year old students with disabilities as an ACP Paraprofessional. Applicants should be flexible, someone who takes initiative when needed, someone who can support our Young Adults with becoming more independent, and be a team player. Shine with us!
We offer:
- Flexible hours
- Work Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Your day ends at 2:05 or 2:30 - great for parents!
- Regular community outings
- Small class size
- We appreciate our paras and show it!
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting certified teachers with functional academic and vocational instruction which may include small group or individual reinforcement and follow-up.
- Assisting certified teachers with preparation for activities and instruction.
- Assisting students with personal hygiene needs which may include but is not limited to diapering, feeding, lifting, and positioning, etc. (training provided)
- Assisting students with vocational training by providing job coaching at various job sites on occasion.
