Schools - Social Worker

ProCare Therapy, a leading provider of special education and therapy services, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time School Social Worker to join our team in Wellington, Kansas. As a School Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of students within a school environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling and therapeutic services to students
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students' social and emotional needs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement intervention plans
• Support students in developing and strengthening their social skills and coping mechanisms
• Assist with crisis intervention and prevention efforts
• Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community resources
• Conduct home visits and attend meetings with parents and guardians
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop appropriate strategies
• Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff on social-emotional interventions

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Social Work or a related field
• Kansas state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Social Worker
• Previous experience working as a School Social Worker in an educational setting (preferred)
• Knowledge of relevant counseling techniques and therapeutic approaches
• Familiarity with special education laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
