About the Role
We are looking for an Apprentice Montessori Guide to be an integral part of our team by collaborating with the Lead Guide in running our Montessori classroom. As an Apprentice Guide, you will be in a position to learn, innovate, create, and be curious as you support the Spark Montessori Guides in their facilitation of a classroom with 20-25 children. Roles and responsibilities of the Apprentice Guide, can include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the Lead Guide as they deliver an exceptional program that supports the individual needs of the children in accordance with Maria Montessori's philosophy and vision.
- Inspiring children to explore, be curious, and take ownership of their learning.
- Learning the Montessori method and Scope and Sequence (curriculum); with the option of also going through a Montessori certification program, paid for by Ascent.
- Guiding children during the indoor work cycle, outdoor play, lunch, and other activities while ensuring safety.
- Supporting children through interpersonal challenges, academic struggles, and community building.
- Aiding in the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment.
Skills/Qualifications

Details
This is a full-time Apprentice Montessori Guide position with the expectation to grow into the Spark Montessori Guide role.
Starting Apprenticeship Salary: $40,000-45,000, commensurate with experience.
Upon completion of Apprenticeship, starting Spark Montessori Guide salary is between $52,000-56,000, commensurate with experience and onboarding.
