Job Description
Bilingual Therapiesis seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our team in Humboldt, KSfor the 2023-2024 school year. As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive psychological services to students in a school setting. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse student population, conducting assessments, developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and providing counseling support.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective IEPs and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Provide counseling and support services to students dealing with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students' personal, academic, and career development.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and student intervention planning.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring.
- Serve as a resource to teachers and staff, providing guidance on behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Collaborate with community organizations and agencies to coordinate services for students and families, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid state licensure/certification as a School Psychologist in Kansas (or eligibility to obtain).
- Prior experience working in schools completing assessments, developing IEPs, and providing counseling support is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
This is a full-time position for the 2023-2024 school year, with regular school hours.
