ProCare Therapy, a leading provider of special education and therapy services, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time School Psychologist to join our team in Wellington, Kansas. As a School Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students within a school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and intervention plans
- Provide direct counseling and therapeutic services to students
- Monitor and address behavioral and emotional concerns
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of intervention strategies
- Assist with crisis intervention and prevention efforts
- Conduct research and data analysis to inform decision-making and program development
- Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff on behavioral and academic interventions
Requirements:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Kansas state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in an educational setting (preferred)
- Knowledge of relevant assessment tools and psychological testing procedures
- Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
