Job Description
Soliant is seeking a passionate and dedicated School Psychologist (PSYCH) to join our team. Previous experience working with children is desired, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Applying ethics and standards of professional practice in the delivery of school psychological services and observing relevant laws and policies that govern practice
- Evaluating and treating students
- Meet with individual students to provide one-on-one counseling
- Implement developmentally and academically appropriate assessments of identified students
- Serve as a member of the Child Study Team and discusses intervention strategies
- Identify at-risk students for early evaluation
- Work with students and their families to develop strategies (including referrals to outside agencies) for addressing the emotional needs of students and their families
- Provide advice to teachers and administrators on how to best support these and other students
- Meet with students in groups for group counseling sessions
- Facilitate conversations about topics including substance abuse, conflict resolution skills
Requirements
- School Psychologist credential
