Position Overview:

The Scale House Operator will be responsible for supporting operations in the administration of tickets, invoices, phones, and orders. This is a seasonal, part-time (+/- 20 hours per week) position that reports to the Aggregate Manager and has no supervisory responsibility.

Essential Duties and Functions:

• Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects
• Support operations in administration of tickets, invoices, phones and orders, weekly timecards, paperwork, etc.
• Take aggregate load orders
• Keep trucks moving efficiently across the scales while recording each load
• Communicate professionally with customers and drivers
• Give direction to employees as applicable
• Coordinate deliveries from our suppliers
• Follow direction from supervisors and operate effectively in a deadline-driven environment
• Promote and enforce a safe work environment
• Sample bags at the scale
• Shoveling snow or snow removal when applicable
• Cleaning the scale off (shoveling or sweeping)
• Light cleaning of work area
• Additional duties as assigned by management, as this job description is non-exhaustive

Position Requirements:

• Consent to authorization of a pre-employment background check and drug test
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Eye for details and ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy
• Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal

The physical requirements to successfully perform the job functions are:
