POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Dean of the School of Business and Technology, the Office Manager performs a variety of office and/or administrative support duties. The Dean of the School of Business and Technology will assign specific areas of responsibility.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs various assignments that are sometimes confidential; operates personal computer to enter data, draft, edit, revise, and print letters, tables, reports, and other materials.- Greets and directs visitors, as and when appropriate; resolves routine administrative problems and answers inquiries concerning activities and operations; accepts, screens, and routes telephone calls; maintains a log of inquiries as required.
- Sorts, screens, and distributes incoming and outgoing mail; drafts or prepares responses to routine inquiries; prepare photocopies and facsimiles and operates various office equipment.
- Establishes, maintains, processes, and updates files, records, certificates, and/or other documents.
- Arranges meetings and conferences, schedule interviews and appointments, and perform other duties related to maintaining one or more individual schedules; assist faculty and staff with completing travel and training and expense reporting procedures, either directly or through travel agencies.
- Orders, stocks, and distributes office supplies.
- Takes minutes for meetings the Dean deems necessary (Department meetings, Advisory Board Meetings, etc.)
- Works with the Dean to develop and analyze reports from the course and student data.
- Assist with assessment by coordinating assessment processes; design and prepare the instrument; create mailing and distribution lists and send outto students, program alums, and employers; facilitate the analysis of responses and prepare assessment reports.
- Periodic review and update of policies, procedures, and departmental catalog revisions for the website.
- Serve as the liaison for all follow-ups with corporations and individuals who partner with the School of Business and Technology.
- Assist with supervision of part-time student workers; maintain records and monitor part-time student worker budgets.
- Assist with all aspects of maintaining and growing the University store.
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.
- One to three years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, Access, Outlook)
- Records maintenance skills and ability to maintain the confidentiality of records and information.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
- Organizing and coordinating skills
- Ability to maintain calendars and schedule appointments.
SUPERVISION
This position reports to the Dean of the School of Business & Technology
SALARY RANGE
$38,000 - 43,000 Annually, plus benefits.

Founded in 1875, Huston-Tillotson University is Austin's first institution of higher education.
