Satellite Warehouse Associate

Position: Satellite Warehouse Associate Dept: Satellite Warehouse (611)

Reports To: Inbound Processing Supervisor Class: G-6

Summary of Responsibilities:

Responsible for the accurate receipt, put-away, and pick of all stock moving in/out of the Satellite Warehouse. Works consistently in a safe and efficient manner.

Primary Duties:

1. Operates forklift, stackers, electric pallet jacks and pickers in accordance with established safety guidelines. Loads/Unloads merchandise onto warehouse racks up to heights of 30 feet, and on/off vehicles at loading docks

2. Responsible for picking all assigned warehouse tasks, and proper labeling of stock

3. Responsible for assisting in all cleaning and maintenance activities for the warehouse

4. Follows all departmental procedures and established policies for effective operation of warehouse/receiving area

5. Receives, records, inspects, and reports all incoming shipments; verifies count against Packing List and Purchase Order. Reports damages and completeness of order

6. Labels all received merchandise accurately and distributes to appropriate areas

7. Investigates and rechecks receiving discrepancies

8. Performs data entry function as required to make adjustments, print purchase orders, and create license plates

9. Maintains and operates equipment properly, following all safety procedures. Seeks assistance for manually lifting heavy materials

10. Carries out assignments as directed by Lead Person and reports any problems, abnormalities, and safety hazards

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or GED

· 1-3 years experience in a warehouse/receiving/fulfillment environment preferred

· Prior experience operating mechanical handling equipment preferred.

· Must be able to work, handling heavy or awkward merchandise, safely and comfortably at heights of up to 30 ft

· Good physical condition, good equilibrium and balance, able to lift and move heavy weight (50 lbs.) on a consistent basis

· Manual dexterity and good or corrected vision and hearing

· Good math skills and able to accurately match stock numbers

· Clerical skills and data entry/computer experience preferred

· Flexible attitude towards working extended hours on short notice

Key Measurements:

· Little or no damage to merchandise or equipment

· Maintains Excellent safety record

· Accuracy in all aspects of receiving/warehousing/inventory control

· High productivity and good attendance

· Maintains a good working relationship with co-associates both at the Satellite Warehouse, and the main site. Conducts themselves professionally with any outside contact(s)
