We are hiring for a Yard & Warehouse Associate for our Bridgeport, CT, location (380 Lindley Street). Applicants for this role should be conscientious, efficient, and organized with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You must be able to deal with diverse groups of individuals and situations with a high degree of tact and good judgment.
The ideal candidate should be detailed oriented, flexible with job requirements and have some experience with construction material, equipment & supplies. Forklift operation, customer service and some heavy lifting will be required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Branch Manager for daily dispatch and priority tasks.
- Ensure all customers receive excellent service in an efficient, professional, and respectful manner.
- Loading and unloading inbound and outbound shipment orders, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist loading product for customers.
- Prepare customer orders for delivery.
- Assist with rental check in/ check out when needed.
- Assist with sorting, loading, and unloading intercompany transfers.
- Checking material in and putting away in proper place, neatly and safely.
- Assist with receiving product into the system.
- Cleaning, Maintaining and Organizing storage and yard areas.
- Operate forklift.
Job Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Construction experience preferred
- Forklift experience preferred or able to obtain an operators permit.
- Full range of motion and dexterity
- Basic knowledge of construction material and material handling
- Maintain a professional appearance

Predictable Schedule- M-F, 8AM-5PM, with a 1 hour lunch. (Infrequent Saturdays and closed Sundays)
