What you’ll do:

 

Position title: SAP iXp Intern – Strategic Program Management
Location: Reston, Virginia or Virtual (US or Canada)
Expected start date to end date: March 2024 – September 2024 

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Strategic Program Management Intern to join our dynamic Global Field Activation & Strategic Programs team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Program Management, best practices sharing, and marketing strategy & execution on a global scale. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Strategic Program Management: Collaborate on the development and execution of critical strategic programs, contributing to the design, structure, and overall success of initiatives. Ensure the seamless delivery of programs against timelines, key milestones, and budgets, with a keen focus on measurable success. 
  • Documentation and Reporting Excellence: Maintain detailed records of program specifics, budgets, and timelines, showcasing attention to detail. Generate regular progress reports for internal stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, business impact, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Effective Communication: Facilitate clear and concise communication and keep all stakeholders well-informed about program details and updates. Leverage effective communication styles to convey complex information in a compelling and accessible manner. 
  • Best Practices Sharing: Contribute to the identification, sharing, and adoption of best practices across business functions and regional teams. Encourage a culture of collaboration and knowledge exchange to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various global and regional teams, including Marketing and Sales, to ensure alignment on program objectives and deliverables.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Utilize analytical skills to collect and analyze data, generating ideas and actionable insights to measure program success. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess program impact, fostering a culture of continuous improvements through data-driven enhancements.

 

What you bring:

Qualifications:

 

  • Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated (within six months) from a bachelor’s or master’s program (MBA preferred).
  • Effective collaborator with experience working with cross-functional teams and meeting multiple deadlines.
  • Creative and critical thinker, skilled in observation, analysis, questioning, and problem-solving.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, preferably in a marketing context.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong storytelling ability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experienced with Generative AI tools. 
  • Basic understanding of marketing functions and processes.
  • Comfortable working in a global, hybrid (virtual & in-person) team environment.
  • Desirable: prior internship experience in a large, matrix organization.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role.
