Title: Sanitation  Manager/Technician

Location: Bakersfield

Hours: Monday – Friday (overtime required during busy season)

As a Sanitation Technician, you will play a pivotal role in upholding the highest standard of cleanliness and operational efficiency within our dynamic setting.

What You’ll Do:

· Perform plant cleaning based on the Master Sanitation Schedule, ensuring adherence to prescribed guidelines.

· Manage sanitation equipment upkeep, including initiating service calls and ordering necessary parts.

· Utilize various powered cleaning equipment for efficient and thorough sanitation processes.

· Enforce OSHA and GMP compliance by using appropriate personal protective equipment during tasks.

· Demonstrate expertise in handling cleaning chemicals, serving as the primary contact for chemical mixing and dispensing.

· Ensure compliance with sanitation procedures, especially in wastewater, drains, and garbage disposal.

· Oversee organization and availability of sanitation and other supplies, managing storage areas.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

· Highschool Diploma, General Education degree (GED), or equivalent; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

· 3 or more years of relevant experience required; experience in sanitation or related field within a juice manufacturing environment preferred.

· Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage cleaning schedules and documentation.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Familiarity and adherence to HACCP processes and Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMPs).

· Demonstrated planning, dependability, adaptability, and confidentiality.

Compensation:

Salary range between $18.00 - $19.50 – may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on individual and the organization’s performance.

Compensation will be determined by a number of factors including educational background and experience.
