Position Summary
The Sanitation / Janitor is responsible for the safe operation of the floor scrubber.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

Key Accountabilities/Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for daily emptying of wastebaskets in all common areas and production areas of the facility.
Floor Scrubbing or mopping warehouse, production areas, hallways, maintenance, lab floors and baler areas.
Responsible for cleaning sanitation room, cleaning tools, and containers
Vacuuming storage racks, overhead pipes, and lights using a scissor lift.
Responsible for cleaning outside perimeter, parking lot and sidewalks as weather dictates.
Responsible for maintaining baler and compactor area. Binding bales, cleaning floors, and using a forklift to remove bales to scrap trailer.
Daily cleaning of counter tops, table tops, water coolers.
Maintain inventory for cleaning supplies and chemical usage.
Maintain the floor scrubbers, clean
Ensure and maintain supply and sanitation of the coffee area.
Clean out all production drains and sanitize in the facility.
Housekeeping of men's and women's locker rooms and bathrooms. Monitoring and re-stocking bathroom suppliers (soaps, paper towels, and toilet paper) and re-stocking hairnets, beard nets, and ear plugs for production.
Clean refrigerators and microwaves in the lunch room as needed.
Compliance with all standard operating procedures.
Follow all company policies including but not limited to general manufacturing and safety practices.
Perform any other duties as instructed by management
Qualifications
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions and understand warning signs
Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift
Have appropriate eye, hand and foot coordination to properly use various equipment and/or tools
Ability to load/unload, lift/move equipment/product which may weigh up to 50 pounds.
Pass all company testing as required
Must be able to hear equipment sounds, plant pages, fellow employees and radio calls.
Compliance with OSHA regulations and SDS standards
Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required by the facility.
Must complete OSHA Powered Industrial Equipment training and pass associated tests , as required per facility.

Noise levels that require the use of hearing protection.
Temperature and humidity swings.
Fumes associated with forklifts
Oil and grease used on machine parts for lubrication.
Frequent moisture during the cleaning process of production area.
Smell/odors associated with the product and equipment maintenance including chemicals used during cleaning process and cleanup and non-toxic glue.
Dust associated with corrugate boxes.
Allergen's related to any food products.
Must wear personnel protective equipment as required within your facility in the appropriate designated areas.
