As an Emissions Sales Trader you will:
- Build your own client portfolio through direct prospecting and networking to originate new business and increase market share
- Understand and identify arbitrage opportunities in the oil and gas sector to originate deal flow for your trade book
- Create strategic trade solutions to ensure voluntary & obligated parties reach their emission reduction goals
- Develop an understanding of the landscape within the market including product knowledge, industry challenges, legislative and geopolitical changes
- Maintain relationships in the environmental commodity sector
- Represent the firm at conferences and engage with stakeholders within the industry
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of sales, trading, brokerage or account management role in environmental commodities and emission reduction projects in the oil & gas sector
- Demonstrated record of achieving PnL trading or originating carbon projects
- Project development knowledge and an understanding of the validation, verification, and serialization process for successful credit issuance
- Highly self-motivated person who thrives in a dynamic work environment and demonstrates a flexible and adaptable work style that responds quickly
- Undergraduate Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Environmental Studies or a related field
Salary Range: $90,000-$115,000 + discretionary bonus
Actual base pay may vary based on various factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, level and experience. The base pay is just one component of the total competitive compensation package for employees.
