Job description

The Sales Rep will be accountable for the growth of sales with a variety of disposable products.

These items include but are not limited to paper products, to go packaging, janitorial and food service non-foods items. The ideal candidate is committed to continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and results achievement.

Customers will include distributors in the food service and janitorial supply industry. The Sales Representative will work with their distributor partners as an extension of their customer’s sales team on end user calls.  The Sales Rep will work in a fast paced and ever-changing environment where attention to detail, a strong sense of urgency, initiative and drive are extremely important to achieving company sales goals.

Responsibilities:       

  • Actively Foster Key Customer Relationships and Realize Future Growth Potential
  • Daily Sales Calls
  • Weekly Planning of Sales Activities
  • Weekly Recaps of Targeted Sales Priorities in CRM
  • Contact customers to solicit purchase orders and establish new relationships.
  • Display or demonstrate stocked products, using samples or ecommerce catalog. 
  • Attend required customer and company scheduled meetings and trade shows.
  • Promote new products within existing customer base.
  • Establish and grow new accounts.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecast to operational team to ensure inventory levels are up to date.
  • Set pricing parameters and meet margin goals.
  • Grow territory with topline and bottom-line results.
  • Promote Bunzl proprietary branded products and work with strategic vendor partners.

Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in professional Selling, Marketing, Business or related - preferred
  • Must have 2+ years of inside/outside sales experience.
  • Ability to effectively plan weekly and daily activity directed towards targeted sales opportunities with the account manager.
  • Effectively develop knowledge and skill levels
  • Computer literate in a Windows operating environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and AS400
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and maintains excellent follow-through.
  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Work effectively in situations that involve change and/or competing demands.
  • Perform well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient handling of all confidential and time-sensitive material
  • Strong Results - Orientation and Sense of Urgency
  • High level of Personal Accountability
  • Ability to Identify and Prioritize Key Initiatives
