The Role:
The Sales Operations Intern is a member of the Global Sales Operations team. This part-time role works at the direction of Sales Operations leaders and their teams on various projects that span the spectrum of Sales Operations functions and programs. Examples include but are not limited to business analytics, project management, data quality, sales enablement, marketing program administration, and other initiatives. This role collaborates cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Marketing Management, Finance, and other Subject Matter Experts depending upon project and topic. This role has tactical impact across the sales organization in helping to perform the analysis, project management and/or program development associated with each project.
Possible projects include:
- Channel, Marketing, Renewal, Advanced Technology Sales Operations
- Assist in development of ROI analysis surrounding corporate and channel marketing campaign initiatives
- Manage change business process around retirement of Advanced Technology object and conversion to Opportunity Products.
- Manage project involving promotion and demotion of partners in the Proofpoint Elements partner program including development of standardized partner QBR decks
- Sales Operations Analytics
- Perform Power BI dashboard inventory review and usage analysis to support dashboard strategy design, development and execution
- Automate and update PMO process/project plans/tasks by employing best practices and Company approved project management/planning tools
- Manage standard data tables utilized in Power BI dashboards, develop user guide for updating data tables, explore and recommend best method for standardizing and sharing tables across dashboards
- Ad-hoc projects
- Sales Enablement
- Work with the Sales Enablement Programs Manager for the Advanced Technology Group to accelerate development of courseware and other training content; Manage related logistics to facilitate implementation.
- Work with the Sr. Director of Proofpoint's Value Management office on tasks related to Business Value Assessments to help accelerate their availability for the sales organization.
Qualifications:
- College Sophomores, Juniors or Seniors with strong academic record. Preferably in their Junior year.
- Business Administration, Sales, Operations, Business Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Economics or Marketing Major
- Ability and desire to work across and collaborate with the following functions: Sales, Product Marketing, Sales Operations, Business Applications, Finance, Systems, etc.
- Must be able to demonstrate a passion for IT Security Technology and solutions
- Must be a self-starter able to work remotely
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite along with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, PowerBI, Salesforce. Experience in SQL a plus
- Must be detail orientated, organized, and able to multi-task
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Candidate Profile:
You have the ability and interest to work part time (a maximum of 30 hours/week) in our Sunnyvale, CA office or remotely. You are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree and are successfully maintaining an above average GPA. This internship is scheduled to start immediately and run through August 2024.
