LG Chem America, Inc is responsible for sales and marketing for North America, South America, and Mexico regions for petrochemical divisions. We are responsible for sales of 6 different divisions (NCC, PO, ABS, SAP/Acrylates, HPM, and PVC/Plasticizer).
We are actively searching for an individual with a hunter mentality to join our sales team in Cerritos, CA. This a B2B role and the Sales person is responsible for building new sales for the PLA (Polylactic Acid) & PBAT (Poly butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) business in North America while collaborating with team members in the US and abroad. Reporting to the Sales Team Leader, you are responsible for increasing business opportunities through attracting new clients and establishing strategic customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop new customers and markets for PLA (Polylactic Acid) & PBAT (Poly butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) in North America to maximize sales for the team.
- Establish and grow new client relationships.
- Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts/quotes.
- Frequently visit and communicate with customers to determine needs, generate solutions, and strengthen client relationships.
- Research and analyze industry information to accurately apply pricing, project trends and maximize company sales and profits.
- Prepare reports on sales performance and pipeline management
- Utilize Salesforce to maintain sales funnel including target and qualified prospects
- Supervise logistics of shipments through SAP system to ensure prompt delivery.
- Accounts receivable follow-up to reduce aging and follow-up on collecting receivable monies.
- Communicate with HQ to improve and expand business.
Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3-5 years of related sales experience in the Petrochemical Industry or technical products B2B.
- Demonstration of problem solving, meeting deadlines and deliver clear insights.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaborate with global shareholders – marketing, engineering, R&D and production
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Skilled in use of PCs and related software (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Knowledge of SAP (ERP) system is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 50%

- Prior success in an entrepreneurial environment or selling technical products B2B.
