Summary
The purpose of the Sales Manager position is to drive demand for Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour by pro-actively managing a portfolio of accounts from a particular geographic territory for the group market segments.
The Sales Manager will focus activities towards the revenue needs of the resort by clearly analyzing internal and external data and thus devising Sales and Marketing action plans to address these needs. By demonstrating Hyatt’s purpose the Sales Manager will show that we care for the customer and their business needs by responding promptly to all business needs, ensuring there is timely follow up and through active questioning ensure that we have an understanding of the client’s needs and requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Devise and implement quarterly Sales Action Plans addressing the financial needs of the resort
- Maintain accurate account profiles in Envision to the standards identified by Hyatt
- Completes and submit monthly Sales Activity Reports
- Manages own sales budget and expenses
- Enter all group enquiries in to Envision
- Prepare and send bespoke proposals addressing customer needs and requirements
- Submit expense claim forms on a monthly basis, detailing all expenses and submitting all relevant travel and customer entertaining approval forms.
- Is fully familiar with Reserve, Opera, Envision, Travelclick 360
- Is familiar with Hyatt approved group and event contracts and ensures that these are pre-approved before sending to a customer for signature
- Respond to customers within 24 hours, as per Hyatt brand standards
- Follow up on all requests and proposals on a timely basis
- Maintain regular contact with key customers within the allocated geographic region
- Communicate all known information pertaining to guests and clients to the operational team
- Has a complete understanding of GEM and is able to add entries through Opera
- Represents the resort at industry and internal Hyatt trade shows
- Monitors NPS and Meeting Planner surveys
- Have a full understanding of the resorts budget and forecasted revenue goals
- Attend weekly Revenue Management meetings to keep abreast of the resort’s financial needs, across all revenue generating areas to include but not limited to: Rooms, Food and Beverage and Spa revenues
- Has a full understanding of Travelclick Agency 360 reports and uses these reports to determine sales activities
- Be aware of the resorts Profit and Loss report, namely the Sales and Marketing division as we all as Food and Beverage reports and Rooms (to include commission expenditure)
- Supports the financial objectives of the resort through proper and efficient expense management
- Follows all procedures relating to PRIDE as set out in the companies PRIDE guidelines.
- Has a full understanding of the Park Hyatt brand and supports brand initiatives
- Is aware of competitor hotel and destination marketing and reacts accordingly by implementing initiatives to better position Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour
- Converses regularly with Tourism St. Kitts representatives working in the same geographic territories
- Produces marketing collateral complying to brand standards with the assistance of the Marketing Communications Manager
- Pro-actively creates and distributes marketing material to assist in driving sales and addressing any of the resorts revenue shortfalls
- Analyses local and national trade and consumer publications to identify potential opportunities for Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour

Qualifications
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
Refined verbal and written communication skills
A minimum of 3 years of hotel sales experience preferred
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training
Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training
