Sales Manager **$80k-100k Salary and AMAZING Benefits**



Objective

The purpose of this role is to drive profitable HVAC equipment and service plan sales through leading and coaching the HVAC Retail Sales Reps and "M3" HVAC Selling Technicians. The Sales Manager reports to the Sales and Marketing Leader.

The HVAC Sales Manager will set annual and monthly sales and margin goals for each M3/Retail Rep and develop strategic and tactical plans to successfully meet or exceed the goals. The Sales Manager is also responsible for handling all day-to-day duties and responsibilities such as ride-alongs, coaching, sales metrics (tracking, reporting, and analyzing), completing weekly time sheets, calculating monthly bonuses, resolving customer concern calls, and completing other tasks that help ensure the smooth operation and success of the team.

The M3/Retail team is an integral part of the Bonfe organization. The Sales Manager will develop and maintain strong, positive working relationships with other department managers and teams such as Installation, Dispatch, Service, and Accounting, and act as a sales coach resource to other Service Managers at Bonfe.

Over time, the Sales Manager may also be responsible for the Inside Sales Reps (ISRs).

This position is an ideal opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Sales Manager who has a proven ability to lead sales teams to top level performance while working in a team-oriented culture with strong ethics. Because this position also has day-to-day responsibilities, the Sales Manager must be comfortable with data tracking and tactical details such as time sheet review and monthly bonus calculations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and manage the M3 HVAC selling technicians and Retail Sales Reps to ethically maximize their selling abilities and opportunities, meeting or exceeding annual sales and margin goals.
  • The M3's are highly qualified technicians and their leader needs to ensure their ongoing technical training and assessment of their abilities, and also leverage the teams knowledge through their assistance training junior techs.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one coaching meetings and ride-alongs (in person and virtual) with team members. Coach to improve performance and behavior, and ensure each team member is the Right Person in the Right Seat.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Leader to develop annual planning for the HVAC sales team.
  • Make recommendations for product offerings, sales materials, and pricing based on input from the sales team.
  • Develop strong, mutually beneficial relationships with other Managers and Departments at Bonfe, such as Installation, Dispatch, Inside Sales, and Accounting. Be a resource for sales training and coaching to managers and team members in other lines of business.
  • Handle and resolve customer concerns that come in for the team.
  • Have some technical product acumen and the ability to learn the product line.
  • Track, report and analyze sales and margin results for the team.
  • Calculate monthly bonus payouts for the team.
  • Identify future M3 technician candidates - working with Bonfe HR to recruit from outside the company and with Service Managers at Bonfe to identify and help coach internal candidates.
  • Handle day to day tasks such as timesheet review and approval, scheduling, setting flip rotation, and tracking and reporting key performance metrics for the team.
  • Additional projects and duties as appropriate.

  • Candidates must be able to work both collaboratively and independently and feel comfortable taking ownership and responsibility for setting and achieving plans.
  • Motivation and coaching to excellence is critical in this role. The M3/Retail team is the top-performing, revenue generating team in the organization.
  • This role emphasizes excellent leadership, sales talent, interpersonal and communication skills coupled with an eye for detail, organization skills, time management, and the ability to prioritize multiple demands.
  • Digital proficiency is a must - working efficiently and effectively with Excel and our CRM tool.
  • A demonstrated ability to think through problems and develop solutions, learn new things, and take ownership of project successes as well as failures.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years sales team leadership with proven results achieving or exceeding sales goals.


  • Technical product acumen is preferred but not required.
