- Establishes new accounts by reviewing market analyses and determining customer needs and potential sales to achieve order intake.
- Communicates weekly with the Chem/Pharma market manager to establish territory sales focus and technical support requirements
- Prepares and presents technical and sales presentations at industry seminars and to customers.
- Assists with preparing cost estimates by reviewing project plans, and related customer documents; consulting with engineers, designers, and other professional and technical personnel.
- Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment for applications in customer processes
- Overnight travel within the Southcentral portion of the USA, as well as, occasional trips to our headquarters in Germany
- Assists with writing proposals, preparing and negotiating final contract including pricing terms and conditions.
- Ensures clear communication and hand-off to project management team.
- Participates in tradeshows and other marketing activities to increase sales volume.
Your profile and qualifications:
- Sales experience in the chemical/pharmaceutical market
- Undergraduate Chemical Engineering degree
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of recent involvement in the chemical/pharmaceutical market.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively communicate technical data and engineering systems
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
- Must possess good interpersonal skills and work well in a team setting as well as independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Equipment sales experience
- Houston, TX regional area living location
- Technically capable of assisting service engineers in field testing
- Applicant overnight travel approximately 2-3 nights per week
