About the Opportunity
GreatSchools is a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting parents in their efforts to raise successful, confident kids, and helping millions of parents get a great education for their children. Our Media and Data products are key to fulfilling this mission, and we're looking for a dynamic Sales Enablement Specialist to join our team.
Reporting to the VP of Sales and Marketing, the Sales Enablement Specialist at GreatSchools plays a pivotal role in supporting our sales and marketing efforts for our Media and Data products, including extensive involvement in lead handling and seamless handoff to sales and customer success teams. This forward-facing role will require you to support sales and marketing in myriad ways including equipping the team with assets and market research, sales effectiveness training, conducting qualification and discovery calls, attending and coordinating trade shows, and engaging with prospects and customers through digital and face-to-face channels. To excel in this role, you'll need excellent writing and messaging skills, graphic design and production fluency, proficiency in sales support technologies (especially HubSpot), project management expertise, and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support Across the Funnel

  • Create and equip sales teams with tools, resources, and collateral to effectively engage prospects throughout the entire buyer journey.
  • Participate in product demos and sales calls with sales leadership to support the sales process.

Content Management
  • Develop and manage content repositories, ensuring that sales and marketing teams have easy access to up-to-date materials.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create and update product-related content.

Product Launch Readiness
  • Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to ensure smooth product launches and campaign rollouts.
  • Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to align messaging and readiness activities.

Customer Engagement
  • Conduct win/loss surveys and interviews to gather feedback and insights from customers.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to incorporate customer feedback into messaging and product enhancements.

Lead Handling and Qualification
  • Conduct qualification and discovery calls with leads to identify their needs, challenges, and buying readiness.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to prioritize and assign leads effectively.

Sales Technology Expertise
  • Leverage HubSpot and other sales support technologies to optimize processes, track sales performance, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Stay up to date and keep the team informed of sales and marketing effectiveness tools and innovations.

Project Management
  • Lead and manage Sales Enablement projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of Sales Enablement initiatives.

Trade Shows and Social Media Engagement
  • Attend and coordinate trade shows to represent GreatSchools and engage with potential customers.
  • Actively participate in social media engagement efforts, building relationships and promoting our products and services.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred
  • 5 years minimum experience in a Sales Enablement and or Product Marketing capacity with a strong preference in the education technology industry.
  • Strong fluency in HubSpot and Sales Enablement tools. Relevant HubSpot certifications preferred.
  • Hands-on experience designing and producing high-quality, creative assets using Adobe CC, Figma, and/or Canva.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project management and coordination expertise.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and dedicated to personal and professional growth.
  • Prior experience working in a fully remote role.

Salary & Benefits
Base compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $90,000 for candidates residing in the Bay Area; salaries are dependent upon candidate location and experience. We also provide competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, as well as a retirement plan with employer match. Additionally, GreatSchools offers generous PTO + sick leave, thirteen paid holidays annually, along with a paid four-week sabbatical every five years.
Location
Join a small cohort of us in Oakland, CA or remote anywhere in the United States! Please note that remote employees are asked to travel to the Bay Area or another location in the continental United States up to 3-4 times per year.
