The Business Development Team at NELSON is looking for a results-driven mid-to-senior level Sales Development Representative to actively seek new business opportunities across all Practices, engage and build relationships with potential customers. They will need to provide complete and appropriate solutions for every potential customer to boost top-line revenue growth, increase pipeline, customer and acquisition levels.
A Sales Development Representative II, is responsible for leading business development efforts to actively seek new business and established opportunities across all Practices, engage and build relationships with potential customers. This role is responsible for leading the front end of the sales process to support the need to provide complete and appropriate solutions for every potential customer to boost top-line revenue growth, increase pipeline, customer, and acquisition levels. Brainstorm and strategize with Sales Leadership to generate new ideas for outreach and leveraging NELSON capabilities.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of expectations related to high quality service to clients
- Basic knowledge of real estate, development process, design, trends, construction methodology, materials application and manufacturer-supplier
- Basic knowledge in MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint a plus.
- Basic knowledge of working with a CRM, HubSpot
- Basic knowledge of working with Sales Intelligence and Engagement Platforms, Apollo is
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Comfort making cold calls and cold outreach
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks as needed to complete within the identified time frame and/or deadline
- Ability to prioritize and effectively meet deadlines and provide high quality service to clients
- Advanced knowledge of expectations related to high quality service to clients
- Advanced knowledge of real estate, development process, design, trends, construction methodology, materials application and manufacturer-supplier
- Advanced knowledge in MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of working with a CRM, HubSpot Experience with CoStar is a major plus.
- Advanced knowledge of working with Sales Intelligence and Engagement Platforms, is preferred.
- Expertise in a wide range of sale productivity tools and technographic tools
- Advanced track record of achieving sales quotas
- Proven work experience as a Sales Development Representative, Sales Account Executive, or similar
- Advanced hands-on experience with leading multiple sales prospecting techniques like cold calling, cold emailing, and social outreach.
- Advanced understanding of sales performance metrics
- Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships, client relations
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Research, identify, and prospect for new customers
- Requires knowledge of the Architectural & Design Services industry, sales process, competition, and compelling industry events to make effective and meaningful conversations.
- Stay up to date on current real estate and development events in the markets
Reach-outs
- Requires high-level of outreach to potential leads, or promptly follow up with those who have inquired about NELSON’s offerings via phone, email, and social media.
Setup quality meetings and appointments for Leadership
- Requires ability to think strategically and develop sales calls script to qualify or disqualify leads, and to setup quality meetings with Business Development Leaders and Regional Practice Leaders.
- Coordinate meeting with appropriate leaders
- Follow NELSON standards and guidelines in the preparation of
- Review your own work and make corrections prior completing an
- Maintain and archive electronic project
- Assist team as reasonably
- Partner with Leadership to create a client reach-out strategy per
- Lead meeting coordination between client & leadership

Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, etc. from an accredited University plus 4-8 years’ experience; or equivalent in appropriate education and experience working within the industry
