Sales Associate

Do you have a passion for bicycles as transportation? Do you like digging in on the details of different products and talking to other people about them? Are you able to work weekends? King Electric is seeking a motivated, positive Sales Associate to join our growing team at our new Experience Center in Foggy Bottom. In this position, you will assist customers with their buying experience and help them choose the right electric bike to fit their needs. We are looking for someone who is a natural people-person, passionate about electric vehicles, enjoys learning new things and wants to help us become the premier electric vehicle retailer in the Mid-Atlantic.

Sales Associate Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet customers upon entrance
• Assess customer needs and wants; answer customer questions and concerns
• Assist customers with daily and short term rentals
• Process ingoing/outgoing repairs for customers
• Provide appropriate product recommendations
• Ensure merchandise is in-stock and displayed in a presentable manner
• Use point of sale (POS) system to conduct purchase transactions.
• Assist in product inventory procedures
• Memorize in-store promotions and special offers in order to communicate to customers
• Build relationships with customers, especially regular customers
• Team up with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction
• Educate customers on new arrivals and future product arrivals
• Follow opening and closing procedures thoroughly
• Minor cleaning and store maintenance such as sweeping, mopping and dusting

Sales Associate Requirements and Qualifications

• Proven experience in a retail sales environment
• Knowledge of electric bikes and electric scooters
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Familiarity with Square and Squarespace systems a plus
• Familiarity with inventory procedures a plus
• Familiarity with basic bike and/or scooter maintenance a plus
• Friendly, approachable personality
• Punctuality
• Flexible schedule (i.e., available to work weekends, nights, and/or holidays when necessary)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 32 per week
