Sales Asst – Seafood products

Job Overview:

We are a leading seafood importer and seller of a highly reputed brand of frozen seafood products sourced from various countries in Asia . All our products are processed and packed under strict monitoring in the partnership plants by our representatives. Our warehouse is located in Perth Amboy NJ where the inventory is available to deliver to to wholesaler /distributor / retailer / food service etc across the country.

We are seeking a Sales Assistant to join our team. The Sales Assistant will provide support to the sales team and assist in achieving sales goals. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and has a passion for customer service.

Major Duties and responsibilities:

- Contact prospective customers by emails, cold calls, social media and other relevant means.

- Assist the sales team in managing customer inquiries and requests.

- Communicate the product features and create awareness to the customer.

- Prepare sales documents, including quotes and contracts.

- Follow up with the customers who are not active and promote the products.

- Inform customers about sales, promotion and offers
- Maintain accurate customer data and update the system.
- Coordinate with warehouse workers to ensure timely delivery of products.

- Count and verify the lot # , quantity and quality of the orders shipped

- Prepare the bill of lading and coordinate with accounts department .
- Follow up with customers and address any concerns and assure satisfaction .
- Assist with inventory management and order fulfilment
- Provide administrative support to the sales team as needed

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- willingness to travel and meet customers

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus
