As a key member of the local management team, assist in achievement of budget through sales to new clients and increasing sales to existing clients. Participate in development of marketing materials in support of sales projects. Present the "Guardian Pharmacy" identity at targeted local and national trade/industry events. Work with President to evaluate potential profitability of any new business. Responsible for building a positive working relationship with all clients by resolving issues/problems, advising clients on regulatory issues, and training client staff as needed.

Essential job functions (include the following):
- Nature and develop existing relationships and new business as the preferred provider of pharmacy services to assisted living communities, hospice providers, and other long-term care facilities
- Market local business as a preferred provider to facility residents and their families by routinely participating in family nights
- Act as liaison with pharmacy operations to maintain high level of service to customers, following all service-related issues through to resolution
- Ensure sales agreements with new clients meet profitability targets for the business unit
- Maintain client contracts and relationships through "expert" advisor status and problem- solving with the goal of 100% customer retention
- Act as a liaison with pharmacy operations to maintain high level of service following all service-related issues
- Provide in-service training to customer staff as needed
- Ensure smooth and error free community start ups
- Actively participate in local and nationals association meetings related to assisted living/long-term care
- Participate in designing collaterals and other marketing materials
- Other pharmacy essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed
Education and/or Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years of new Sales and account management preferred
- Healthcare or nursing background preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven track record of sales success
- Excellent customer relations skills and ability to build strong customer relationships
- Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
- Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to build strategic customer relationships
- Must have the ability to differentiate yourself in the marketplace
- Ability to work in team environment
Work Environment:
• Requires up to 75% travel, by air and ground
• Ability to work flexible hours
