Lumin8 Outdoor LLC is hiring a Sales Account Manager - THE point of contact for new and existing clients to accommodate their growing needs. This person is someone who is a self-starter, zealous and ready to take control of their role to quickly build a record of success. They will be responsible for selling permanent and temporary holiday lighting installations, providing personalize design consultations, and meeting assigned sales targets. They will act as the assistant/guide for customers all the way through the sale, installation, post-installation, and removal after the season. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and results-driven professional with a proven track record in sales management, possessing excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for creating enchanting atmospheres through holiday and event lighting installations. Upon hire, they will be handed an existing book of business, and be expected to nurture and maintain those accounts, while growing new accounts via marketing funnels.
Some of responsibilities expected of you:
- Implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth, identify new opportunities, and expand the customer base.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of service offerings, features and benefits
- Conduct phone and on-site design consultations to understand the customer’s inception/holiday lighting needs, preferences and budget
- Collaborate with the design and installation teams to create compelling proposals that address clients' needs and expectations.
- Work closely with other departments, including design and installation, to ensure seamless communication and coordination between teams.
- Assist/guide clients along the entire customer journey
- Effectively communicate the company's value proposition, product offerings, and unique selling points to clients, ensuring a clear understanding of the benefits of our services.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to build and strengthen relationships within the holiday and event planning community.
- Stay flexible and adaptable in a dynamic industry, adjusting strategies based on changing market conditions and customer preferences.
The foundational requirements you already have:
- 2 - 5 years experience in sales, preferably in home improvement sales or related industry
- High School diploma required; Associates Degree or higher preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a schedule efficiently
- Strong strategic planning and problem-solving abilities to drive business growth and overcome challenges
- Flexibility and adaptability in availability and responding to changing market conditions and customer preferences
- Proficient in engaging potential customers with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Focus on ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and exceptional service delivery
- A genuine passion for creating enchanting atmospheres
- Proficient in hands-on tasks, with the ability to accurately take and read measurements
- Demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility coupled with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Skilled at fostering referral relationships in the local area
- Adept in using technology and digital tools
Lumin8 is an established lighting and décor company that has been servicing both residential and commercial clients in the Northwest Indiana area for years. - Salary: $50k per year plus 1-3% commission

This position is Full-time, EXEMPT and reports to the Operations Manager.
Customary Work Days: Monday - Friday with phone calls on Saturdays; everyone takes Sunday off. Customary Work Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- The role requires frequent travel for in-home consultations and meetings with potential customers.
- The position will involve marketing activities, which might include evenings and weekends.
- You'll be part of a collaborative environment, working closely with other members of the sales team, installation crew, and administrative staff.
- All sales appointments are pre-qualified and provided, eliminating the need for cold calling.
